50 Hubs 50 Views 50 Cents 50 Followers - The Power Of 50

I got inspired to write this Hub when I started to notice a continued appearance of the number 50 starting to make it's way across my HubPages account.

A strange coincidence? Numerological numbers converging? A sign of the Apocalypse? An alignment of the planets in the Solar System?

Nope, nothing as fancy as any of those, just something I noted happening. Funnily enough, this particular Hub itself is not my 50th published Hub, it's the 62nd. I think this is also one one of those more personable Hubs and yes there's ads and stuff, I am like most of the writers on HubPages and here to make a dime or three.

But this is my first Hub about my journey here thus far.

If your one to be on and using the internet for 'making a coin or two' and see it as a way to earn anything from a hobby amount to a possible replacement income of full time employment, I too, am in that way of thinking.

I seriously started a couple of years ago and was reading, reading, reading all the information I was able to get my hands on. I eventually decided to give article writing a try. Why article writing? Simple, it's kind of my thing, I get to talk about products, or hobbies, or experiences I have had in my life and then tie it in with products or services that can be sold (affiliate marketing type products)

I spent absolute ages finding out all I could about affiliate marketing and article promotion.

I got on Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Associated Content & wrote til my elbows bled. Then something bad happened. After a stonkingly horrible 15 months of very little in return. I mean Ezine Articles didn't generate much traffic so I didn't make ONE affiliate sale. Associated Content got purchased by Yahoo and just prior to that they decided to no longer pay ANY commissions to non-US residents. I earned not much, but it was turning into a nice little earner for me, like would have paid for my internet each month.

So I found with that process, do not stick all your eggs into one basket.

I went looking again and created some of my own blogs. I came across HubPages & Squidoo and spent some time over at Squidoo before making some serious effort here.

I wrote some Hubs and read through the help section of the site, of which if you are new, go and read it. Then I read through other peoples Hubs, and then through the forums. The learning never stops.

Then from the start of around 6-7 weeks ago, I started to notice something.....

I started to notice these small milestones creeping across my HubPages and inter related areas.

First I got 50 cents in earnings across all earning formats.
Then I got a 50 cents in Amazon and 50 cents in Adsense (woot, happened in the 3rd or 4th month here)
Then I got 50 followers.
Then I started getting a consistent 50+ views across all my Hubs, monthly.
Then I wrote 50 Hubs
Then a singular Hub suddenly became viral and itself, was getting 50+ views a day.
I am very near $50 in earnings from all Hubs and all earning formats. (checked as of this week)

Neat huh!
