As Simple As 1, 2, 3

There is so much information abound on how to make money online, how to market your work on the internet, how to set up and become successful with making money online, etc, it all becomes thoroughly confusing. With so much information being available, that in itself does not become an issue. What is the issue is who is providing that information, can you trust them and also importantly, can you trust what they are telling you?

Everyone is turning to the internet to fit into somewhere between making a small amount of money each month to a potential full time based career. Yet like most endeavors, most people want to make money online but don't know how to go about it. So inadvertently, they buy a program that's 'cheap' at $49.95 and after three months, have not even recouped that fifty dollars back. Yes, I can feel your pain, as I started like that too!

There are more simple and free ways to make money online. I can't guarantee you how much, how often and where that money will come from. There is no way anyone can. But you have a much better chance to make some money if you do follow a few simple steps.

Notice I said simple, and you may have found this hub searching Google using words like 'easy online marketing'. Well some of these strategies are no secret, nor are they easy, but thats what people look for is easy.

No, although what I outline here is simple. It is NOT easy. By doing the following, you will use up time, and sometimes patience, yet if you can persevere and hang on, you will reap the rewards.

The First Simple Step

This is a simple step. What are your goals?

Do you want to be making $10 a month after 12 months?

Do you want to have a 1,000 articles of niche based subject matter out there on the internet?

Do you want a couple of thousand blog pages filled with beautiful looking sales items for your customers?

You need to start with your broad end goal, then break it down into smaller goals, and finally into smaller manageable goals to help you achieve that end target.

So if your goal is to get $50 a month from Google adSense each month after 12 months you may achieve this by writing 1,000 hubs, or Squidoo Lenses or articles on Triond or Wizzley or a combination of various places.

One way to get this may be to;

1,000+ articles promoting 24 finely tuned niche Hubs on HubPages in 12 months to produce $50.00 a month income.

So thats 84 articles a month.
2 Hubs a month
To produce adSense, ePn eBay and Amazon affiliate earnings.

To the end process of 21 articles a week.
with one Hub each fortnight.

Dependent on your levels of commitment, how keen you can stay motivated and your ability to stay and stick on targets, this is an achievable goal. If you do something like this and find that writing 20+ articles a week is causing some concern, scale it back to five or ten. Conversely if this is a simple acheivement, add more articles. The other goal within YOUR goal is to find a balance (hey 1,000 articles within a year is hard, unless you have ALOT of time on your hands)

Step One - Write out your goal and how you want to achieve it.

The Second Simple Step

Write an article on your subject matter. Don't get overly concerned at the beginning if you spelling and grammar gets a little rough, you can always clean up after.

Writing an article is like three acts in a play or movie. You open with your characters and plot outline in the first act, you get to the heart of the matter in the second act, you conclude in your third act and end with a enticing ending or with a bang.

Writing articles is the same, you need to be supplying what people on the internet are looking for. With articles, they are usually written with one of two avenues of thought, usually a sales type article promoting the benefits or features of a product or service and the other type being more informational on a subject. Some articles are a combination of each, but more often are one or the other.

Writing a sales based article is a common way to promote a product. Most people write about products because when a product sells and you can get a commission, it is a simple process to repeat over and over. Write about something you know about. I myself would never write about hot air ballooning tours as Ive never been in one and wouldn't feel I have the right knowledge about it. I would not come across as enthusiastic either.

You may have an iPhone and you like the look, feel and ease of use of the device. You may write about it with using roughly 400 words an article. This article then at the bottom has a resource box that allows you to use a hyperlink to another site. That site may be something like your own blog, or Squidoo or HubPages or Wizzley and has additional information about your article.

You need places like Go Articles, Article City or Ezine Articles to submit articles at these article sites. Realize there are 1,000's of article sites across the web. Choose 3 to begin with and when you have submitted 10 articles to each, choose another three and write another 10 articles for those 3. Rinse and repeat.

Step Two - Write a sales based or information based article, up to around 400-500 words about something you know about. Write something like 'Find out more about why I like iPhone's cases and coverings here in more detail' in the articles resource box with a link in that resource box, to your Hub, Lens, Affiliate or blog page. Write two more similar articles and submit them to two other article submission sites.

The Third Simple Step

Now we have a goal and we are writing articles, these articles form the backbone of our marketing. After about 25-30 or so articles across 3 article sites, you will start to see some incremental traffic growth from people, firstly reading your articles and then landing from your article to where your resource box is pointing to, like a Hub Page.

Ok, so you have written a couple of articles, but they need to be pointing to a place that can earn you some dollars. Content creation sites like here, on Hub Pages can help you do that. It is a good as any place to start as well. Its free, straight forward to use and you will be having Hubs up in a time almost not much longer than writing an article.

Your 3 articles about the benefits of carrying cases or covers for iPhones (iPhone accessories) is the main theme of your first hub. Recap your articles, but written in an expanded format with much more detail. Excellent Hubs are those between 800-2000 words, filled with important links, pictures, videos and polls. This makes the easy read of your article to an interactive experience of your Hub much more helpful for your viewership as well.

You will over time receive traffic from your articles to your hub, but also traffic from search for your hub as well.

Step Three - Write a hub niche related to your articles, make your hub a good experience for your traffic, add interesting polls, put in public domain or your own pictures, related videos from YouTube, add Amazon and/or eBay capsules. You can always go back later and amend your resource box for articles with the right link from the article back to your HubPages Hub.

The Fourth Simple Step

In a nutshell, that is the entire marketing process. Write an article, point it to a place of content and income generation and repeat as often as desired. There are some finer points to work with such as research of niche topics, subjects suitable for sales, keeping a standard of quality and original content and much more.

Over time, as you become a more learned and experienced internet marketer, you will put your own stamp on things and expand this philosophy I have outlined here in ways none of use imagine as yet.

Step Four - Create a goal, write an article, write a hub (or blog page, or sales copy, or lens, or another article site with affiliate link, etc), rinse and repeat.

***** Remember, each step and process is also ENTIRELY FREE AND DOES NOT COST YOU A CENT (Unless you have setup your own blog or website) *****
