Top Ten YouTube Videos By Highest Number Of YouTube Views 2010/2011

Updated on February 21, 2017

Top Ten YouTube Video

The highest number of views for views of YouTube videos seems to change rapidly over a 12 month period. At the time of writing and publishing this Hub around December 2010 , I have a good feeling that half of the ten videos below would have changed to allow for others that have gained higher views, come October 2011 (which it has with some surprising results).

YouTube has brought those known celebrities into the spotlight, turned some lesser known celeb's into higher profiles and created celebrities from those being previously totally unknown. Such is the power of YouTube.

Here we have a countdown from the tenth to the first video that has the highest number of views for those displayed and played on YouTube. A couple of these videos is most likely expected to have been in their relative positions with the number of views and some will surely been thoroughly surprising of it's result.

Drum Roll Please... Number 10

Miley Cyrus, daughter of Acky Breaky Heart Maestro Billy Ray and is (based on the number of these videos she is appearing in) is trying to break away from her Hanna Montana days. Also, now 19 years of age can most likely decide to retire now. Also currently dating with on again/off again Australian actor Liam Hemsworth.

Drum Roll Please... Number 9

The first of three non music videos on the top ten. You just want to watch this again and again, provides for a real feel good laugh. The comedy of this short film captures the wonder of being a toddler.

The last version of the video has a copyright dispute but another copy of the video is shown below (hence the low view rate). The original release had over 150,000,000 views before becoming yanked offline. To this day, I have not found out why there is a copyright dispute, unless someone else other than the originator has a copy of this video. Hopefully time will tell.

Drum Roll Please... Number 8

Pitbull - real name: Armando Christian Perez is a Cuban American rapper, singer, songwriter and producer. I had never previously heard of him before this song, and this one is his first serious major musical hit. Armando also operates a Spanish language program La Esquina (The Corner) on MUN2 cable channel.

After many team ups with other artists such as Marc Anthony, Bob Sinclair, Chris Brown, Gloria Estafan and Timbaland to name a few. The collaborations have worked extremely well in his favor and he is a talent on his own.

Drum Roll Please... Number 7

Judson is a motivational speaker who uses down to earth explanations of his techniques on life and came to well known prominence with his video of 'Evolution Of Dance' released in 2006 and at one time was the record holder of the highest views on YouTube for this single clip. This is number two of the three of the non music video (as in music artists) clips on the top ten.

It had taken both Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga to knock Justin off the top views perch.

Drum Roll Please... Number 6

Eminem - Love The Way You Lie marks the second song from the seventh successful album from the hugely popular American rapper. Featuring Rihanna for the chorus, the song portrays actors Dominic Monagham & Megan Fox entwined in a love-hate relationship with flashbacks of happier times between the couple, yet ultimately the house they abode in becomes engulfed in flames during one of their arguments. The video first showed on VEVO and holds a record for the most views within 24 hours on YouTube.

Personally, I reckon that Eminem could rap about chewing gum wrappers and a video would still garner 100,000,000 views on YouTube. Tells you something about rap music even today.

Drum Roll Please... Number 5

Party In The USA was a huge hit and Mileys most commercially successful song in 2009. Not bad considering the song initially was not originally intended to be recorded by her. The song was changed to also fit her move from her home of Nashville and relocate to Hollywood.

A song written and recorded by Shakira. It became the official song for the Soccer World Cup 2010 held in South Africa.

Drum Roll Please... Number 3

The third and final non music based video clip shows that you can video an event at home that is so innocuous it just becomes such a huge hit that defies explanation. It is a defining example of what can happen when something like a video goes nuts with activity through viral sharing.

Drum Roll Please... Number 2

Lady Gaga's second album scored a huge hit with this number. The songs video portrays strong images on being kidnapped and then becoming sold and used as a slave. The song was written about being under the influence of paranoia and of also being in love with your best friend, a romance destined for doom.

Lady Gaga wrote this during her tour through Europe in 2009.

Drum Roll Please... Number 1

Justin Beiber featuring Ludacris.

The youngster (he is still just a bare 16) was discovered through singing on one of his own Youtube video in 2007 by Scooter Braun, a music manager who introduced him to Usher and Ushers record label. Incidentally, Bieber now has the highest viewed video in history and the only one so far, (and this will change) to exceed 300 million views on YouTube.
